TCN Historical background​​
Holistic approach to Ministry training started in 2009. The training concentrated only within Africa Gospel Church. However, in 2012 a number of church leaders from other denominations requested for the same training. After a lengthy discussion, it was finally reached that a Network to incorporate diverse denominations be created. Thus, from mid-2012, Transformational Compassion Network came to into being. It was officially registered in 22nd December 2013 as a non-governmental organization.
Programs were expanded so as to empower the church to address the plight of the vulnerable such as abandon babies, orphans, widows, widowers, and people living with disabilities among others. It also include empowering the church to reach out to children and families in the street, women and men in prostitution, prisoners and ex-prisoners, alcoholics, drugs and substance abusers.
It also include capacity building to faith based ministries and Institutions reaching out to these vulnerable. Financial empowerment is incorporated into the programs so as to uplift the living standard of the vulnerable through sustainable income generating projects.

TCN is registered in Kenya as a National Nongovernmental Organization to empower churches in order to address the needs of the vulnerable for alleviation of abject poverty
