In 2011 during the Christmas celebration, as many other visits to prisons conducted, TCN paid a visit to Kericho main prison to celebrate with them. The prison at that time had over 700 prisoners. After interacting with them, a significant number had been imprisoned more than once. It was stated that, as soon as they were released, some could not go back home due to stigma associated with what they did. Some who were married before going to prison found out that their wives had been married off and their houses demolished, hence had nowhere to go. The only place they could take refuge was in prison, despite the harsh conditions, they had roof up above them as well as access to some basic needs such as food. Despite the life skills and vocational training gained during prison, none is put into practice due to unprepared exit. TCN, therefore, in partnership with other players, empowers the church to facilitate reconciliation procedures of inmates with their families and the community by facilitating establishment of half way home for the newly released prisoners.
